This is the connector to get power and my computer connected to my Samsung Galaxy S5.

Note the flimsy cover that clips over the orifice.

I doubt that it’ll last the life of the phone.

There is no excuse for crap design! Except perhaps in a piece of sit-upon sanitary ware!

Isn’t it about time, that all mobile devices had the same power connections?

All phones are supposed to have the same USB connector like the one you have. This is an EC directive but Apple won’t comply and get away with it.

My brand-new camera has a totally different one!

But with this Samsung it’s not the connector, but the flimsy cover. My boys would have fiddled with it and broken it as children in a trice.

About This Blog

What this blog will eventually be about I do not know.

But it will be about how I’m coping with the loss of my wife and son to cancer in recent years and how I manage with being a coeliac and recovering from a stroke. It will be about travel, sport, engineering, food, art, computers, large projects and London, that are some of the passions that fill my life.

And hopefully, it will get rid of the lonely times, from which I still suffer.
