Cancer Is No Laughing Matter, But!
I took this picture on an Overground train, with permission of the young ladies.
I have this feeling that we’re winning the fight against cancer, through top-quality research.

What this blog will eventually be about I do not know.
But it will be about how I’m coping with the loss of my wife and son to cancer in recent years and how I manage with being a coeliac and recovering from a stroke. It will be about travel, sport, engineering, food, art, computers, large projects and London, that are some of the passions that fill my life.
And hopefully, it will get rid of the lonely times, from which I still suffer.
Why Anonymous? That’s how you feel at times.

There are regular break throughs and new treatments etc. But I think we have to be realistic and recognise that this is a long-term fight.

One eminent researcher in the field told me people who don’t smoke, drink large quantities of alcohol and are slim snd fit have reduced rates of cancer. He said that you might get a better return on giving non-smokers a tax break or extra pension instead of soending it on research!
