Bring Your Own Bed!
This guy had certainly found a way to avoid the hard seats on Thameslink’s Class 700 trains, when I returned from Gatwick Airport on Friday night.
He laid down on the exercise bench he was carrying.
I wonder what would happen, if we all brought our own seats or beds at peak times.

Those dreadful seats are incredibly uncomfortable. I have stopped using the BedPan line and instead go Arlesey to KC. What idiot decided ti use these? They don’t just look like ironing boards, they are about as comfortable to sit/lie on.

The trains were designed by Civil Servants in the Treasury, so anything cheap and nasty or that could be left out was welcomed. The Crossrail trains are much better and they are for shorter trips.

I presume regular passengers will start bringing cushions or inflatable pads to ease the discomfort of these pews…
