Stop Taking Internal Flights And Go Green, Says Lib Dem Contender Davey
The title of this post is the same aa that of an article on Page 15 of today’s Sunday Times.
What more needs to be said, especially as many internal flights have a sensible rail alternative!

About This Blog
What this blog will eventually be about I do not know.
But it will be about how I’m coping with the loss of my wife and son to cancer in recent years and how I manage with being a coeliac and recovering from a stroke. It will be about travel, sport, engineering, food, art, computers, large projects and London, that are some of the passions that fill my life.
And hopefully, it will get rid of the lonely times, from which I still suffer.

Habits would have to change. I have had many meetings in Glasgow and Dumbarton at 9:00 and the only way to get there in reasonable time is to fly. What needs to change is the enormous number of flights that are made for pleasure. Many families take a foreign holiday by plane in the summer and another one in the winter.

I go to Scotland regularly for the day. Usually, I’ll take the Sleeper from Euston, which means you can be anywhere in the Central Belt for eight.
I can either spend a night with friends, but sometimes, I’ll just take the last day train back to London. You could get the Sleeper from Watford or Euston!
There’s also a Premier Inn at Stirling by the station!
I’m just planning a trip North as I want to try out the new trains.
