• Energy is stored as heat in molten recycled aluminium at 600 °C.
• When energy is needed, a Stirling engine is used to generate energy.
• Waste heat can also be captured and used to heat buildings.
• The system has a 90 % round-trip efficiency.

I feel this could be a winner in the long term.
