1-in-11,000 Chance Of Contracting COVID-19 On Trains

The problem is the government was so successful at frightening people off the railways at tge height of the pandemic that now people are frightened to use railways and so opt to travel by road without concern about the higher risks of deaths and injuries that road transport has !
Another problem is millions of people who held season tickets and thus were able to travel for little or no cost at weekends now don’t hold these tickets and thus have to pay fares to travel at weekends and bank holidays and thus no longer travel into cities like London or Manchester at weekends thousands affecting businesses like entertainment and shopping venues.
As the article says you have 1 chance in around 11,000 journeys of catching Covid19 on trains it would be interesting to know any difference wearing a mask has as the uncomfortable nature of masks plays a large deterrent to travelling!
