The Footbridge At Feltham Station – 13th October 2020
Next to Feltham Station, Network Rail are building an unusual footbridge.
This visualisation from Network Rail shows the design.
These are the pictures I took today.
Some of the features of the bridge can be picked out on the visualisation.

Fair enough, but what I’d really like to see at Feltham is better access to Heathrow. Feltham has great potential as a gateway to the airport and the rest of the world, but the buses don’t have room for luggage so aren’t practical for most airport-bound passengers.
Nevertheless, if you’re not laden with bags, it’s a good way to go. The journey from Balham to Heathrow via Clapham Junction takes the same time as travelling by Tube, private car or taxi, but has the advantage of lifts at all stations (unlike the Tube) and is vastly cheaper than a minicab.
