A Most Annoying Advert

I can’t see the television that well in 2-D because of my eye-sight, so one of the most annoying adverts is one for LG proclaiming the virtues of watching 3-D television with someone else which also grates.

So LG has just joined my list of companies whose products I don’t buy!

Is that what advertising is supposed to do? Annoy your possible customers!

When is someone going to produce advert free television? I suppose it’s called the BBC, but what I want to see at the moment is on Sky!

  1. If they took the adverts off most cable/satellite channels, there would only be about 6 hours of TV a day!

  2. Sky Sports have a lot less adverts during a match than ITV does. When I move I’ll have cable so I’ll be able to use a button to effectively swap channels during the adverts. So with football, you could swap to Radio 5 Live.

But it will be possible to create a system that filters them out. It would also cut out the trailers for programmes you don’t want to see on the BBC.
