Tonight I spotted a second New Bus for London in the Balls Pond Road.
A Second New Bus for London
It appears to be numbered as LT6.
They all appear to have registration numbers starting with LT

About This Blog
What this blog will eventually be about I do not know.
But it will be about how I’m coping with the loss of my wife and son to cancer in recent years and how I manage with being a coeliac and recovering from a stroke. It will be about travel, sport, engineering, food, art, computers, large projects and London, that are some of the passions that fill my life.
And hopefully, it will get rid of the lonely times, from which I still suffer.

I am obsessed with the London double Decker bus. I hope i could ride one that is actually in London.

It’s not difficult to ride one, as there are nearly 8,000 buses in London of which upwards of 80% are double-deckers.
The bus shown is one of only two prototypes for the new ones. They are technologically advanced and very comfortable.
I get to ride the prototypes quite often, as they are on a route past my house, that goes to the centre.

I dont know why but the only time ive ridden a double decker was in New York and in San Francisco but never in London. I would absolutely die to ride one. Please try to get in one of them because Ive heard their interiors are amazing.

I was under the impression that LT6 was the third of the new fleet now in service!

It might be. But I’d only ever seen LT2 before. This morning though, I did see two within seconds, as I walked back home after buyng my paper. One went towards Dalston and then another went towards Islington. They were too far away to identify.

I am also a massive fan of the NBFL and I hope to travel on one by mid June (by which stage all eight should be in service) on Route 38. I just love the NBFL, I think the combination of Hybrid propulsion, plus the old style interior is a winner, and its totally unique to London! The back end is just so “21st century Routemaster” and the front is soo different and so distinctive from anything else, there are pictures on the web showing the NBFL alongside generic London Double deckers and the NBFL just looks so much better, and less boxy & less bulky in shape thanks to its rounded edges. I just hope that they prove to be relyable (after the teething troubles have died down), and I also hope that Boris gets back in as Mayor so that we can have at least six hunderd of these super Hybrids on the streets of London in the coming years.
