Kids’ Scooters and Endless Large Cases On Public Transport
Sometimes, I get a bit fed=up with the amount of baggage people take on Underground trains and buses. I do spot it better than I used to, but for example, there seems to be innumerable people, who always seem to have all their possessions in a large suitcase in tow. Do some peo0ple change where they live every day?
The number of times, I’ve tripped over a badly stowed children’s scooter has been too numerous to count.
At the moment, I’ve only seen anger, but some people have been very so. Especially in busy times!
I think some people leave home in a morning and go to various places requiring different clothes before returning home to sleep late at night – work, gym, dinner, social outings etc. I do occasionally do that, but generally the places I go I can wear gym clothes, or at least something similar to that. I have been known to go to church with swimsuit under my jeans and t-shirt, or in leggings, t-shirt and hoodie. But not if I am leading worship!

I don’t know whether it’s the same in Manchester, but the cases are usually much bigger than, you need for that.

Some of the cases are very big. I see them in the Trafford Centre, which seems a bit odd to me. I am rarely in railway stations. But at the gym I see people arriving with huge suitcases at 7 or 8 in the morning, which seems a strange time to arrive with a huge suitcase!

Sometimes, it’s obvious, when it’s a double-bass or a cello. I have been known to say, that I bet you wished you took up the violin or something similar. Some agree!

My daughter played the cello for a while, but really is a woodwind player at heart, and switched to the bassoon, which is a little easier to transport, although I never let her take it on school bus, as it was very very expensive!
