About This Blog
What this blog will eventually be about I do not know.
But it will be about how I’m coping with the loss of my wife and son to cancer in recent years and how I manage with being a coeliac and recovering from a stroke. It will be about travel, sport, engineering, food, art, computers, large projects and London, that are some of the passions that fill my life.
And hopefully, it will get rid of the lonely times, from which I still suffer.

The best bit about the Oval tube station is the white board on the left hand side of your photograph. Has a quote in it everyday. They are a lovely touch by the staff.

The station I often use, Angel, is the same. Last month, it was a big Movember campaign. They have their own website at Thoughtsofangel.com.

That’s really nice. Thank you, I use Victoria as well often, on Friday’s there is a member of staff which offers free hugs! (all advertised on the board next to him!) I have to say tube staff are lovely people.

I have found a lot of comfort in all London Transport staff. The conductors on our new buses are really getting into the swing of things, too!
The funniest thing though was on one of my bad days and widows get a lot, I was in M&S and the lady on the self-service check-outs asked if I was having a nice day. I said no and told her a little of my problems. She then gave me a big hug. Her name was Comfort.
