Romeo’s Gluten Free Bakery

It’s not open yet, but this is an interesting development opposite Islington Town Hall on Upper Street, just ten or so shops towards the Angel from the Fish and Chip Shop.

Romeo’s Gluten Free Bakery

I wish Romeo, his staff and of course his products well. I shall try to be there the day the bakery opens.

  1. I spied this little gem just recently and have been waiting with baited breath… Any word on when it might open?

    • I deliberately pass it regularly, when I get a 30 bus to and from the Angel..There seems no action, but there was a sign this morning telling National Grid where to get the keys. I also have an Internet trawl looking for their web site, when it arrives.

It could be the usual trouble with slow builders.

  2. A little birdie told me it was due to open on 30th July, but unfortunately there is still no gas connected to the building. Since everything will be prepared onsite (in a 100% gluten-free kitchen) this is a big problem! Hopefully this will be no more than a two week delay.. but it depends on the suppliers.. Fingers crossed.

  3. Thanks for that! I’ll be there on the first day, as I like my bread and cakes.
