It’s not open yet, but this is an interesting development opposite Islington Town Hall on Upper Street, just ten or so shops towards the Angel from the Fish and Chip Shop.

I wish Romeo, his staff and of course his products well. I shall try to be there the day the bakery opens.

What this blog will eventually be about I do not know.
But it will be about how I’m coping with the loss of my wife and son to cancer in recent years and how I manage with being a coeliac and recovering from a stroke. It will be about travel, sport, engineering, food, art, computers, large projects and London, that are some of the passions that fill my life.
And hopefully, it will get rid of the lonely times, from which I still suffer.
Why Anonymous? That’s how you feel at times.

I deliberately pass it regularly, when I get a 30 bus to and from the Angel..There seems no action, but there was a sign this morning telling National Grid where to get the keys. I also have an Internet trawl looking for their web site, when it arrives.
It could be the usual trouble with slow builders.

A little birdie told me it was due to open on 30th July, but unfortunately there is still no gas connected to the building. Since everything will be prepared onsite (in a 100% gluten-free kitchen) this is a big problem! Hopefully this will be no more than a two week delay.. but it depends on the suppliers.. Fingers crossed.
