Birmingham Has Now Got Liths
I was pleased to see that Birmingham has now got maps on liths all over the city centre.
It certainly makes finding your way easier and I used a totally different and more interesting route to get to Carluccio’s from Moor Street station.
Now they need decent street and route maps on every bus stop in the city.

Haven’t they worked hard to improve the city! Next time you are there try to see their magnificent new library.
I have to agree the buses are very anti visitor. Even if you actually manage to work out which bus to take, you then must have the exact coins (no notes accepted) to put in the box, but nowhere is there any indication as to how much the fare might be! I mean honestly – that takes difficult bus travel to an entirely new level!
On a more positive note a Plus Bus ticket for any of the WM towns/cities actually allows a days travel throughout the West Midlands area on any bus, but again this is something of a closely guarded secret!

Birmingham has improved! I think it needs the following.
1. More opened train routes
2. Bus spider maps and walking maps on bus stops like London.
3. Contactless bank card ticketing on the trains, trams and buses.
4 Front entrance, centre exit buses.
5. Demolish Bordesley station.
6. Speed limit enforcement. It’s more dangerous being a pedestrian in Birmingham and Manchester, than London.
