On Your Marks For A Gluten Free Christmas

In my bread bin, in addition to some gluten-free bread, there’s also the remains of a packet of ginger snaps and some mince pies. All are gluten-free from Marks and Spencer. Some of the breads are the sort that sell well in Islington, Sandbanks, Morningside and Alderley Edge.

Today, I went to their store in the back of St.Pancras station and saw this display.

All of these packets of sausage and bacon based nibbles have the gluten-free sign.

  1. The sausage and bacon rolls are lovely, it was Christmas dinner for a group I belong to, and I provided my own, from M&S, and they were excellent, very tasty.

Very good quality, all of their new range, I like their bread as well

  2. My wife has recently found that she has Coeliac Disease. Our house is currently undergoing the Gluten-Free transformation. At Christmas time no less, the cookies!

  3. Where are you based? In the UK it’s easy, with M&S,, Waitrose, Tesco, Sainsburys and others all offering extensive gluten-free ranges. M&S are the best and even do gluten-free sandwiches in many rail stations.

Now the law also states that 14 common allergens must be labelled on all menus and packeted food.
