My First Wrap
Like probably many on a gluten-free diet, I’ve never eaten a wrap.
Especially, as I’d probably never actually seen one before I was diagnosed in 1998.
These pictures show a gluten-free Piri-Piri Chicken wrap, that I purchased this morning from the Marks and Spencer’s in London Bridge station.
I will certainly be buying another,
A few months ago I pointed out to Marks, that I was disappointed, that they had discontinued the gluten-free ham roll, which was easy to put in a pocket or a small bag, whereas traditional triangular sandwiches are not!
This new product would fit!
There was also a Three Bean wrap, for vegetarians or those who like to have wind!

Waitrose sells the Warburtons gluten free white or brown/seeded wraps – which are now on a special offer. Also, B-Free makes some thinner wraps which are available at Asda. I don’t work for either of these companies but am just a coeliac who appreciates something ‘different’ !!

Thanks!
This Marks one was already filled and at a station, where I needed to eat immediately!
I regularly make myself sandwiches, but rarely to take out.
Incidentally, I don’t shop at Asda, as there isn’t one near me and I don’t like Walmart’s practices in the US.
I will look in Waitrose though, but I doubt my small branch at the Angel has them.

Glad you found a nice one James. The Boots egg and tomato one is horrible, the wrap is soggy and hardly any filling. I am not a fan of wraps, but haven’t tried the M&S ones, will do when I am around one. Mostly I buy sandwiches from Morrisons in Piccadilly Gardens on my way to volunteering on a Friday. They usually have cheese and ham savoury, tuna and sweetcorn and egg mayo and cress. And lots of lovely fruit pots too. I don’t eat tuna, but the others are really really nice.

The great thing about the M&S wraps is that they fit in the pocket of my coat. Triangular sandwiches are so large and mean I can’t carry a newspaper in my shoulder bag with a sandwich.
I’ve never even passed a Morrisons, since I moved to London.
