As a 71-year-old, enjoying a comfortable retirement, who voted Remain, I’m watching UK politics from behind the sofa.
There appears to be no statesman or stateswoman to lead us out of this mess.

What this blog will eventually be about I do not know.
But it will be about how I’m coping with the loss of my wife and son to cancer in recent years and how I manage with being a coeliac and recovering from a stroke. It will be about travel, sport, engineering, food, art, computers, large projects and London, that are some of the passions that fill my life.
And hopefully, it will get rid of the lonely times, from which I still suffer.

I agree. It all gets worse and worse. Ad everyone is saying Theresa May hasn’t done a good job of getting the deal. She has, I believe, done the best she has been able to under the circumstances. A lot of the problem is down to poor planning by Cameron. A vote of no confidence in parliament won’t achieve anything, because no-one on either side of the house could improve the deal in the time left. I think we need to cancel Brexit. Although I resent all the money wasted on all this by ourselves and other countries.

The eu have said the deal on the table is it. No further tweaks. So, we have 2 options 1 a no-deal exit 2 stay in the eu and get screwed by the eu. Oh, and kiss goodbye to Sterling they’ll want us to switch to the euro.
God help us all.
