Tottenham Court Road Station – 15th February 2021
These pictures show the latest exterior views of Tottenham Court Road station.
Note.
- The development on top of the station will be seven floors.
- There is a reflection of Centre Point in the glass.
It has now been handed over to Transport for London.
Having not been to London because of the lockdown my nephew says I won’t know where I am next time I visit and this development is an example of how things are changing.
He also talks of changes at Farringdon Station but whether that means the new stairs and escalators down to Thameslink from booking hall he didn’t say.
News that work on the development of other TCR Crossrail development along Oxford Street is getting underway in attachment below –

Flats along Oxford Street ideal for bus spotting I suppose!

I do think, that the over site developments have delayed the finish of Crossrail.
Many are funded by Sovereign Wealth funds with bottomless funds.
Many are well let.
So to get them completed on time, they pay workers over the odds and nick them from Crossrail.
Hence Crossrail is late,
I also wonder how many residential properties in the area, have been bought for letting to Airbnb users.
