The London Tube Map Gets A New Line

This picture shows the latest London tube map, which now shows the Thameslink network.

Note.

  1. There is a lot of new pink or red-and-white lines everywhere.
  2. The lines are numerous in the South-East corner of the map.
  3. Crossrail is not shown.

These pictures show areas in greater detail.

I am surprised that the whole of the Thameslink network has been added.

  1. Yeah TfL announced they were going to temporarily add it to assist with alternative routes during Covid crisis. It should be on there along with Moorgate to Finsbury Pk. Might be a case to avoid too much clutter to remove the lines once they are outside of inner London.

    • It was surprising that full network in Greater London was included and not just tge central Kentish Town Finsbury Park to Elephant and Castle/ London Bridge as shown on old tube maps pre creation of TFL .

One reason given was the closure of Bank Branch of Northern Line later this year to allow switching of running tunnels to new Southbound tunnel.

Kings Cross St Pancras is incorrectly shown as St Pancras International has level boarding and should have a blue blob but accessibility for trains that terminate in Kings Cross Mainline Station is shown . They should have been shown separately!

Really the Great Northern from Moorgate to Finsbury Park should have also been included but showing full Thameslink could have led to showing full GN !
