A Blue Peter-Style Repair To A Train Window
My train between Lincoln and Peterborough was delayed by a broken window.
These pictures show how it was repaired.
Obviously someone spent their childhood watching Blue Peter.
It’s amazing what you can do with sticky-back plastic and yellow tape.

Given the safety paranoia of todays railway its good to see that they will keep them in service with some basic sticky tape!

I sat inside just in front of the window on the same side. When we got to Peterborough, I had a look and it had held together well.
It was certainly better than waiting two hours for a the next train.
It does appear like Mark 3 stock, they do seem to keep going. It appears only one of 171 have been scrapped.
