  3. Missed something here? How did you land in hospital? Honestly, can’t let you out of our sight for a minute. I do hope you’re OK, whatever it is. Thinking of you. Lesley x

  4. So sorry to hear that you’re in the hospital James. Hope you are better SOON. On gluten-free level you’re probably safer over there than in hospital over here in UK.

  5. Dear James

Sue and I are just back from Madrid and got Henry’s e-mail. What bad luck! We both hope that you are on the mend and hope that the damage is not too severe…..at least you chose a good spot to be needing a hospital. It could have been in the deepest Outback miles from decent facilities. Knowing you I expect you will take the opportunity to learn Cantonese or something! Your brain is never idle.

Best wishes to Henry and Prunella. Hopefully we shall see you home soon. R & S

  6. James delighted to hear that you are able to communicate with the world outside HK. Also that you are now on the mend. Do please take all the advice given by the medical team and we all look forward to your return to the UK when safe to do so. Please behave yourself as some of those Chinese nurses can look very attractive. Best wishes Robin

  7. Dear dear James. Adam and I are thinking of you. What terribly bad luck. But Hong Kong I am sure is the best place to be in the circumstances rather than where you could have landed up. Take care, let the Doctors get you better and wish we could all arrive at your bedside (all 7 sisters I mean!). That would cause a sensation. We could arrange an Art Exhibition at the same time. We could set up our easels in your room and use you as a life model! Would it could be so. Seriously though our thoughts are with you. Lots of love Annabel and Adam

  8. Dear James, Nick and I were horrified to hear of your illness. What incredibly, incredibly bad luck – but again a good idea to land up in Hong Kong with its excellent facilities. We do hope you recover fast and can get home. Your London house sounds lovely, and we are all endeavouring to keep up Prunella’s spirits. Best wishes from Nick and Lavinia

  12. Dear JAmes

Well done Mourinho – hope you enjoyed the game.

Watch out for the rat poison – my mother was not impressed when she had a bad spell earlier in the year.

Keep smiling and keep practising with a squash ball in your left hand – if you haven’t got one already get Henry to get you one. It’s good physio I’m told.

    Lots of love
