Well not quite yet, but this report is encouraging.
Thinking how far lighting has come in the last ten years, what will be using in 2022?
And what will all this do for our electricity bills?
Yesterday Was Cold Shower Day
It’s not just the central heating that is up the creek in this house, but the hot water as well.
So yesterday, I had to have a cold shower, as for some reason the hot water had gone awol.
It may be de rigeur in the best public schools, but I can’t wait to get my shower system replaced with one like I had in the previous house.
Two Dave Banks
On BBC Radio 5 Live’s program Double Take on Sunday morning they had a problem.
Both guests were called Dave Banks.
I had to go out, so I didn’t see if it led to any large amounts of hilarity.
I have a very common name and I’ve actually met three people who use the same first and last name combination I do.
I’ve always thought it an idea for a television show to get twenty with the same name and their partners to have a weekend in a hotel and then record what happens. You’d have to be careful about the hotel you choose.
A Letter In The Guardian
A friend of mine has just had a letter published in the Guardian. It’s here on their letters page.
I’ve had several letters published in The Times and there’s one big difference between the two papers.
I have never been contacted by The Times before publication, but my friend was phoned the day before to possibly check they were who they are.
The only time, I’ve been phoned by The Times, was when they didn’t publish my letter. They asked me to review the days paper in a few hundred words and that was duly published the next day.
