Kangaroos in Walthamstow

I went to the Village Kitchen today in Walthamstow and had a kangaroo steak for lunch.

It was good!  And gluten-free too!

I’ve been skipping down the road since,  as a friend will confirm, as we met for a coffee afterwards at the Angel.

  1. Sounds good, James! Long may you skip.

Son #2 has just been appointed Head Chef at the restaurant where he works, and is very happy being his own boss. And training his Commis chefs to be coeliac-aware!

    • I’m getting better and will probably be up for the Festival to see Jarlath.

Congratulations to your son. Have you posted the restaurant on the list yet?

Incidentally, the Kangaroo was served with a potato rosti and a red wine jus. It was a good combination.
