Old Trafford is not the sort of stadium, I thought it would be. It had a rather tired air and compared to the Emirates or the Amex at Brighton, it was very second-rate.

The one time I went to Man U stadium, I found it very very large and the largeness felt claustrophobic. I wasn’t there for a match, I have never in my life been to a football match, and this is the only football stadium I have been in except Wembley to watch hockey when I was about 13. I was there for Football Songs of Praise.
