Pollution Charge For Diesels Has Cut City’s Toxic Fumes By A Third
The title of this post is the same as that of this article on Page 4 of today’s copy of The Times.
The only applies to London at the moment.
Surely other cities should follow the capital’s lead.
I thought they were saying, on BBC Breakfast this morning, that children in London are subject to higher pollution levels than other cities in the UK.
I remember the pollution when I was a kid, it was visible as so much coal was being burnt etc. The content of the pollution has changed radically. Now it is almost invisible, much of it being carbon-monoxide and/or nitrous-oxide.

Pollution is nothing now compared to the mid-1950s. I can remember my father taking three hours to drive perhaps four miles home after work.
