A Most Annoying Advert

I can’t see the television that well in 2-D because of my eye-sight, so one of the most annoying adverts is one for LG proclaiming the virtues of watching 3-D television with someone else which also grates.

So LG has just joined my list of companies whose products I don’t buy!

Is that what advertising is supposed to do? Annoy your possible customers!

When is someone going to produce advert free television? I suppose it’s called the BBC, but what I want to see at the moment is on Sky!

Is Sian Williams Trying to Cheer Us All Up?

With all the bad news about the weather, is Sian Williams on BBC Breakfast trying to cheer half the population up, by showing her arms and knees?  Or is it very hot in the studio?

American Dream

This series on BBC 2 has been fascinating.

One particular interview was with a black American fighter pilot, who after being shot down over Germany was sent to Colditz.

Ann is Still There!

Isn’t it about time that Ann Widdecombe was voted off Strictly Come Dancing! I suppose the cost of the viewers’ votes help to support Children in Need, but surely we’ve had our and she should go!

At least my bet on Pamela Stephenson is still running and her odds are showing her as third fvourite after Matt Baker and Scott Maslen.

I live in hope, but is Ann going to beat them all? I hope not!

It’s Gibbon Time

It was good to see the Goodies in all their glory on Saturday.  C used to like them and was always amused by the references to gibbons, as were the children.

BBC to Fund S4C

In times of cuts difficult decisions need to be made.

S4C, the Welsh channel costs about £100 million a year to run and is funding now going to be transferred to the BBC.  In other words, a proportion of my licence will be used to create programmes that in many cases have an audience that can’t be measured.

If the Welsh are so keen on the Channel, then surely funding should come from the Welsh Assembly! But they are too intelligent to fund such a bloated dinosaur, when there are much more worthy projects about.

I’ve Been Watching Wales in Preference to England

On;ly because it’s on Sky and England are on the dreadful ITV.

I suppose I will watch England, but the idiot who gave them the contract for England matches needs certifying.

Sky and of course the BBC do football so much better!

Pamela Puts on a Show

I watched Strictly Come Dancing and I was very impressed with the performance of Pamela Stephenson, who got the highest total score from the judges.

So my bet of £4 on Pamela to win is still running.
