East London Line Opening
According to this piece in the Hackney Gazette, the opening date of the East London Line is mid-April, but the exact date is being kept under wraps to avoid passenger disappointment.
I am really looking forward to the opening of this railway and will attempt to be there on the first day.
Compare this with the Cambridge Busway. One would appear to a project that has been properly managed and other other is a disaster.

The dross continues!
The Malaysian Grand Prix did show signs of life, but it all fizzled out like some damp squib, when Hamilton couldn’t get past Sutil and Alonso couldn’t pass Button.
We need overtaking for excitement! Endless replays of the manuevers that do happen don’t count.
At least Vettel won another very naff trophy!

The Discredited 070 Phone Numbers
070 numbers were heralded in the UK as personal numbers that you’d keep for life.
I can’t ever remember seeing one in recent years from anyone who was remotely legitimate.
On the one hand they are a marketing disaster, as people think they are expensive mobile phone numbers and don’t ring them, unless they have to.
And on the other hand, every scam seems to be linked to an 070 number.
So I’d never buy one or phone one for that matter.
