A Public Vote On Chuggers
I know it’s only a newspaper poll on this page in Her Majesty’s Daily Telegraph, but it does give a definite result. On the subject of chuggers, where 641 have voted, 621 voted to say that a crackdown on chuggers was necessary and only 20, has said their tactics were sometimes necessary. This means that 96.88% are in favour of a crackdown.
So I think that this animosity, doesn’t do charities any good!
As I’ve said before, I never support any charity that I see chugging.
These days too, I usually have a few pound coins in my pocket for coffee, good buskers and worthy tins waved in front of me
They Don’t Even Stop On Christmas Day

A Proper Bath
Today, I had my first proper bath since I had my stroke. It was deep and I was able to dip my head under the water to wash my hair. I’ve never been brave enough to do it since I’ve moved. The previous bath was so dangerous, that one slip and I might have been a goner.
Now that bath is a Christmas present!
I was also able to get out of the bath and successfully take my INR. It’ll be interesting to see if the value changes after all those sprouts. Hopefully, I won’t have this guy‘s problem.
I also took the INR from my left hand, which is only the second time, I’ve done that! Perhaps the hand is getting better?
The Archbishop Is So Out Of Touch
I shall be sitting down to Christmas lunch with two same-sex couples in long term relationships. So what right does this dinosaur of a churchman have to condemn gay marriage?
None! In my view.
I don’t know the scriptures well, but I do seem to have read that Jesus opened his ministry to all. He is said to have healed a Roman centurion’s servant in both Luke and Matthew. I don’t think that Roman soldiers were the most popular people at that time.
Let’s face it too, but unmarried priests really know nothing about how a marriage is a real strength in human life. As someone, who was married for nearly forty years, I have a lot more experience than he has.
Piers Morgan Annoys The Gun Lobby
According to this article on the BBC, Piers Morgan has annoyed the gun lobby in the States, so much they want him deported.
Piers Morgan’s response has been robust.
“If I do get deported from America for wanting fewer gun murders, are there any other countries that will have me?” the 47-year-old joked after the 25,000-signature threshold was past.
Later, he added: “Wanting America to ban assault weapons and high-capacity magazines isn’t anti-constitutional – it’s called ‘common sense.'”
As to Larry Pratt of a group called Gun Owners of America! He’s what we call on this side of the Atlantic; a complete pratt. I remember someone with a similar name being referred to as Pratt in name and pratt in nature.
Bang Goes Christmas Television
For some reason, my Sunday Times today, didn’t have a copy of the Culture section. So I won’t know how to avoid the total crap on the television over Christmas!
At least as I only watch BBC1 to 4 and Sky Sports1 and 2, I can probably find out what’s on, by just flicking channels.
