Intel’s Simple Smart Phone
That’s what they say it is. But I doubt it will beat a Nokia 6310i. Read about it here.
But Intel have never eaten ARM yet on electricity usage for a given power.
My Nokia 6310i Got Cooked
It now looks like my Nokia 6310i seems to have got rather cooked in this house. I’ve always felt that the atmosphere was weird to say the least and according to the menders the phone has suffered from water damage, as had the other one I sent to them. Perhaps the reason the Junkberry has died is down to the same reason and obviously, it might have something to do with why computer mice keep packing up. I’ve also had trouble with the remote control of my television. The remote control problem is usually solved by bringing in the one from the bedroom, which is virtually the same. But the air in the bedroom is different. It looks like the electronic equipment gets hot and then all of the water condenses on it.
This would also explain, why I feel so much better, when I go for a walk.
And Now Defoe Has To Go Home!
Luck doesn’t seem to be going Roy Hodgson and England’s way! And now Jermaine Defoe has had to return home because of the death of his father. A report is here.
Let’s hope England will find strength in adversity.
LinkedIn Passwords
LinkedIn has been hacked and their passwords have been st0len. There are details here.
Usually, I keep my passwords pretty random and unique, but mine must be one that they thought could get them into my Google Account. I didn’t, as I got this e-mail from Google.
Someone recently tried to sign in to your Google Account, xxxx@xxxx.xxx. We prevented the sign-in attempt in case this was a hijacker trying to access your account. Please review the details of the sign-in attempt:

IP Address: 188.158.25.46
Location: Tehran, Iran
I didn’t trust the e-mail, but logged in manually to Google and changed my password. Incidentally, when I logged in, Google informed me of the suspicious activity.
So it does look like there is some hanky-panky going on.
So login to all your important accounts, where your e-mail address is used as login in any way and check things out.
Government To Ban Forced Marriages
Both The Times and The Guardian are saying that the Government is to ban forced marriage. The report in the latter is here. This is the first paragraph.
PM to announce whether forcing someone to marry should be outlawed amid speculation it could carry jail term.
We should have had this law in place several years ago.
Some might thing that The Times is particularly anti-Muslim today, as in addition, it has a leader very critical of Rotherham Council about covering up a report about the grooming of young girls by men of Pakistani origin and a report about Muslim thuggery in Whitemoor Prison.
I don’t.
All of these abuses must be removed from this country and I support those devout Muslims, who are working to that end.
Paul and Rachel Chandler to Complete Journey
They were on the BBC saying that they will now complete their round the world trip.
They must be mad, after what happened before in Somalia. The Mirror agrees.
And Now A Sprinter Arrives From Nowhere!
After the high jumper from Enfield, who nobody had heard of, BBC London has just announced the breakthrough into top class of Adam Gemili from Dartford. He has now run the second fastest time for a European over 100 metres this year as the BBC reports.
If this is only a taster, it’ll be a summer of good surprises.
The Sun Discusses Zopa
I was a bit surprised at this story about peer-to-peer lending that appeared in The Sun.
It is a fair factual article, which should make readers think about what they should do with their money.
A Death Sentence for Dancing
This video is on the BBC’s web site. It tells the story of four women and two men, who may have been sentenced to death at a wedding for dancing. The Pakistan Supreme Court is investigating.
