This article in the Mirror talks about and links to a video that has gone viral. It concerns a pantomime horse suffering from grief over the loss of its parents in a Tesco store in West Wales.

A Flying Boat From Norway

This was also pictured in today’s Times.  It’s an escape life boat for an oil platform being tested by dropping from sixty metres.

There’s a video here, that is really worth watching.

The Times says that the boat can carry seventy passengers and is made of plastic.

Do Actors Sometimes Regret Their Early Roles?

Dame Diana Rigg is a well-respected actress and has appeared in many high-class productions. But there are performances in her past, that she might like to downplay. C and I saw her in the infamous 1970 production of Anelard and Heloise with Keith Michell, which was noted for its full frontal nudity. Everybody leaned forward at the appropriate moment. Wikipedia describes her performance in the play as follows.

A return to the stage and a nude scene with Keith Michell during Abelard and Heloise in 1970 led to a notorious description of her as ‘built like a brick basilica with insufficient flying buttresses’, by the acerbic critic John Simon.

She did of course star as Emma Peel in The Avengers in the 1960s.  Some clips on YouTube are interesting to say the least. Would ITV show something like this today?

Looking Backwards

I took this video this morning backwards from a New Bus for London.

On the way home, I got another of the new buses.  The driver/conductor said that they are debriefed about road safety and the incidents they see.  Now that’s a good idea.

Canoe Slalom At The Lee Valley – Video

I made up this video to give a view of what it is like at the Lee Valley White Water Centre.

It should be up later today. The trouble with video, is I can only make it on my old computer.  And guess what M$ have upsexed the video maker, to make it more difficult to use. I want my old one back. When something works well don’t mess about with it!

Passing the Olympic Site

Over a year ago I made a video, which I called from the Match Factory to Eastfield. Yesterday I made another.

It has obviously changed as we get nearer to the Olympics.

A Video of My Trip on the Emirates Air-Line

I took a video of the trip on the Emirates Air-Line and it is shown here.

I was suffering a bit of technical problems with the camera and I think I’ll take another one later. Possibly from the other direction from North Greenwich to Royal Docks.

A Note For Those On The Other side of the World

The BBC is streaming their coverage of Royal Ascot on the web.

It’s a long way for all those pixels to go.

Putting The Stiletto In Deep

The wives of ambassadors, have an image, which probably owes a lot to the Ferroro Rocher adverts of a few years ago.

But now the wife of the German Ambassador to the UN, Huberta von Voss-Wittig and her British counterpart, Sheila Lyall Grant have made a video that apopeakls to Asma Assad to get her husband to stop the violence in Syria.

The video is shown in this report in the Guardian.

To say it doesn’t lack punch would be an understatement!

The sad thing though is that it will probably have no effect.
