We Have Ways of Making You Believe These Things
I have always felt Scientologists to be a group of religious nutters. but not after reading reports in The Times and this one in the Sun. They’re dangerous, sadistic, religious nutters.

About This Blog
What this blog will eventually be about I do not know.
But it will be about how I’m coping with the loss of my wife and son to cancer in recent years and how I manage with being a coeliac and recovering from a stroke. It will be about travel, sport, engineering, food, art, computers, large projects and London, that are some of the passions that fill my life.
And hopefully, it will get rid of the lonely times, from which I still suffer.
Why Anonymous? That’s how you feel at times.

I agree on two levels. Yes they are nutters, and of great concern to me they are offering drug rehab and calling it Narconon. The name sounds very very like the names of the very successful 12 Step Fellowships such as Alcoholics Anonymous, Narcotics Anonymous and their sister organisations Al-Anon and Nar-anon which provide a completely free recovery programme for alcoholics, addicts and their family members. People who know me are well aware that I live my life by the principles of Christian faith and 12 step programme. And this bunch of weirdos are bringing both those into disrepute. Quite apart from that, as you say, they are actually dangerous.

It’s quite horrifying what they seem to have done to members.

It is indeed, and groups such as these give mainstream Christian faith a bad name – most Christians are pretty normal people, but we only hear about the bad ones! And anything which brings 12 step into disrepute really makes me mad, since 12 step has literally saved my life and my sanity.
