The title of this post, is the same as that of this article on Electrive.
It is an article well worth a read about Wright’s plans to convert BAe 146 airliners into electric airlines.

They have an informative white paper on Hydrogen Fuel Cell vs Aluminium batteries here

Although i see contributor on clean tecnica trashes both options and says only batteries are viable but good to see multi technologies being tried as this will realise an outcome with a bit of competition. Embraer hedging there bets with battery and hydrogen solutions and targeting 2030 for a 9 seater.

I assume you’re talking about Michael Barnard? He’s just published the 3rd part of his analysis https://cleantechnica.com/2021/11/10/batteries-biofuels-not-aluminum-hydrogen-will-fuel-the-airlines-of-the-near-future-part-3/ I always like a good debunking exercise, and I agree with him that batteries look like the way forward for short flights atm. The big question for me with hydrogen is the cost, so I’ll be interested to see what ZeroAvia and the like come up with.
