Dalston Junction to Clapham Junction Is Test Running
I got a train from Dalston Junction station and the service to Clapham Junction station is running from platform 2. Sadly without passengers. This is the destination display at Dalston Junction.
Not in Service is a euphemism for Clapham Junction. Note the fifteen minute service interval or four trains per hour.
The service is starting on 9 December.
It’s easy to forget about the Overground – going to Olympia yesterday from Dalston Junction I went to Highbury, changed to Vic line, then at Kings X worked my round the circle to High Street Ken, then bus to Olympia. Completely forgot that from Highbury (or Dalston Kingsland) I could have got a direct train to Olympia.

I’ve gone direct to West Brampton for Earl’s Court, but I’ve not been to Olympia for many years. I find both of them depressingly dull places and if an exhibition is there, I’ll give it a miss. Excel is so much better.
Although, it would be a good idea if there were more interfaces on the Overground. Shoreditch High Street to the Central Line would be a very useful one.
