Eurostar Amsterdam To London Treaty Formally Signed

The title of this post, is the same as that of this article on Railnews.

The first paragraph says it all.

The treaty allowing full customs and security procedures for Eurostar passengers at Amsterdam and Rotterdam has been formally signed, said the Department for Transport.

Perhaps, next time I go to Amsterdam, I’ll come back by train.

  1. So still unable to perform customs and immigration ON the trains.

Very poor show, but then the Home Office and HMRC dinosaurs couldn’t allow the ordinary public not to have to queue up and be grossly inconvenienced could they?

  2. I always wonder what sort of reception my great-great-great-grandfather got, when he jumped on a ship in Konigsberg and arrived in London in 2020.

The Germans were obviously, pleased to see him go, as he was an unwelcome eighteen-year-old Jewish male.
