A Large Valentine’s Day Present
This story surprised me. The original data from the Co-Operative Bank, shows that this Valentine’s Day £41 million will be spent on presents for pets.

About This Blog
What this blog will eventually be about I do not know.
But it will be about how I’m coping with the loss of my wife and son to cancer in recent years and how I manage with being a coeliac and recovering from a stroke. It will be about travel, sport, engineering, food, art, computers, large projects and London, that are some of the passions that fill my life.
And hopefully, it will get rid of the lonely times, from which I still suffer.
Why Anonymous? That’s how you feel at times.

the money people lavish on pets no longer surprises me. I drive to Macclesfield quite often and pass several “pet spa” places, a hydrotherapy pool and relaxation pool for pets, and this part of Cheshire is full of fancy places to have your pet pampered and beautified. Clothing for pets is less common here than in US, but in this time of austerity, the pets dont seem to be missing out. There are however plenty of children with little food, little clothing and nowhere decent to play!
