Flights For Sale On Deathtrap’ 737s

The title of this post, is the same as that on an article on the front page of today’s Sunday Times.

Apparently, TUI, United Airlines and some other airlines have booked passengers on Boeing 737 MAX 8 airlines for later in the year.

I certainly won’t fly these airlines until the Boeing 737 MAX scandal is over.

  1. I cannot see these flying untill the FAA and NTSB are satisfied that they are safe.

    • I agree! But then the aerodynamics of the 737 were causing problems in 737 design thirty years ago! The plane is past its fly-by date!

      • Bring back the BAC111! They were a good bus stop jet.

  2. Ahhh The BAC 111. Now you are talking. Fine if you are a passenger, but not if you are under the flightpath or near a runway !!!

  3. Regarding the Max though, surely the evidence in the public domain so far suggests the airframe has been a development too far.
Time Boeing sat down and designed a brand new rival for the single aisle Airbus.

    • I totally agree! I’m currently chasing a Flight International article from years back, which has an interesting fact on 737 aerodynamics.
