From Battersea Power Station Station To The River
I took these pictures as I walked from Battersea Power Station station to Battersea Power Station pier to get a Thames Clipper back to London Bridge.
Note.
- There appears to be fake smoke coming out of the chimney in the third picture.
- I think the second entrance to the station will be close to where I walked.
- To my taste there appeared to be a lot of car parking.
The walk took me under ten minutes.
A lovely day for some nice photos, AW. I read that the smoke may be coming from a ‘bio-mass’ generator providing energy for the power station. There have been lots of doubters, and many commentators dislike the buildings surrounding, but full credit must go to the people who brought the power station back to life, it looks to be a great restoration and along with the tube extension, will help this ‘quarter’ thrive.

I do think it’s starting to attract tourists, who take the Northern Line to Battersea Power Station and then as I did, take the Thames Clipper back to Central London.
