How Will ‘The Worst El Niño On Record’ Affect The UK?

The title of this post is the same as that of this article on The Times.

This is the sub-heading.

The weather cycle is forecast to push up global temperatures, bring storms to Britain and raise food prices for everyone

These are the first three paragraphs, which outline some predictions.

The weather phenomenon El Niño is shaping up to be an unprecedented “super-event”.

The Met Office said on Friday that the natural cycle, which influences weather and food prices around the globe, is forecast to be the most powerful on record.

There have been other intense cycles recently, notably between 2014 and 2016, but the most extreme was in the 1870s, bringing droughts and famines.

I shall be following the article’s predictions throughout the winter.

My only worry is that the actions of the leaders of China, Iran, Israel, Russia and the United States will make it worse.
