Why We Are Obese!
A woman has just admitted on Radio 5, that she starts the day with two Red Bulls and a Mars Bar.
Enough said!

About This Blog
What this blog will eventually be about I do not know.
But it will be about how I’m coping with the loss of my wife and son to cancer in recent years and how I manage with being a coeliac and recovering from a stroke. It will be about travel, sport, engineering, food, art, computers, large projects and London, that are some of the passions that fill my life.
And hopefully, it will get rid of the lonely times, from which I still suffer.
Why Anonymous? That’s how you feel at times.

It may be why she is obese. However, not all people who are obese eat like that, indeed probably more dont eat like that than do. A great many obese people started out very little above normal sized, but tried to lose weight, the reduced calorie intake lowered their metabolsim, the weight loss stopped, and even though they still didnt overeat, they gained weight, so they went on a diet. This became a cycle, a VERY unhealthy one. Their metabolism slowed below the point at which even the extra (and sometimes excessive) exercise they were doing could increase the metabolic rate.
Some continued the cycle. Some had gastric surgery, and found it didnt work long term. A fairly high percentage died of complications from the surgery.
Some learnt to eat a healthy diet and take regular exercise. If they lost weight, that was fine with them, but if they didnt they learnt to accept the size they were, and warn others how they got to be obese.
I speak from experience.
