Am I Bothered About The EU Ban On High Powered Vacuum Cleaners?
Of course not! Except that it has produced some entertaining articles, like this one in the Guardian.
I have a company clean my house. I get two girls for two hours for well under a hundred. And they bring all their own equipment and cleaning materials.
Idon’t have a dog any more, but one of our bassets, loved being vacuumed and would stand by you waiting patiently for her cleaning.
I do wonder whether our lords and masters in Brussels have analysed the effect of the ban. Will it take longer to clean carpets with a lower powered vacuum cleaner? What is the effective gain? Is it positive?
If someone has done the analysis it would be the first time!

I think we all have too many household appliances and many we do have are far too big and powerful.
I deliberately only have a small cooker and my washing machine/dryer only ever uses one program. Shirts and bedding go to the laundry, so I don’t have to use the iron.
