The Massive Taxi Queues At Paddington

I took this picture at Paddington in the late morning.

There were masses of passengers with heavy cases queuing for the taxis.

I suspect all had been conned into coming into London on the overpriced Heathrow Express.

Roll on, Crossrail!

  1. Yes, I suspect that this was the case.

    • Or in this situation too many cases.
I suspect you travel light! My late wife and myself could do a weekend in a very small case, but she never took high heels, heated rollers or enough bath goodies to clean the Titanic, like some women do. But she did take lots of books and bikinis!

      • The last funny thing she said to me as she lay dying, was that now I’ve got to train another woman to travel light!

      • So sad! We’re off to Ross-on-Wye this afternoon to attend a funeral in the morning. Taking LNER as far as Doncaster then Cross Country to Cheltenham Spa and being collected by car from there. Bought the tickets two weeks ago which were very expensive but dislike the Arriva Trains Wales option to Hereford. Returning tomorrow evening via Chesterfield and Leeds. Would hate to live somewhere without a station!

      • So would I! I lived deep in Suffolk, when I had the stroke that ruined my eyesight, that stopped me driving, so I moved to Dalston, where I have at least four stations and twelve bus routes, within walking distance. I also get free bus and train travel in London, so moving was a no-brainer!
