Who’s To Blame for the Eurocrisis?
I just found this rather deep and thorough approach on the BBC.
To summarise, it says that because France and Germany cooked the books, with Gordon Brown’s help, to get round the Maastrict rules, that it is now acceptable for anybody to overspend.
Let me get this right; what you are saying is that the World recession was the fault of Gordon Brown! WOW you really have it in for the Scots. What about the knock on effect of what Cameron did at the European meeting. That has greater potential problems than anything the Labor Government ever did. What should be looked and fixed is the great power a few financial people have over everything and they should be held to account and stripped of all power for ever.

I’m not saying it, Allan Little is saying it on the BBC web site. Gordon Brown and I suspect a few other finance ministers, backed the French and the Germans in what they were doing, And all Greece, Ireland, Italy and Spain did was follow the practice of the two big countries. I suspect, whoever had been Labour chancellor ast the time, would have done the same.
