The Anonymous Widower

I’m thinking of going to the States around the 19th to 21st of August to see the most amazing solar eclipse of the Century. It goes through major cities like St. Louis, Kansas City and Charlestown. The latter looks the best and I can manage it without driving. Anybody fancy tagging along?

  1. I am from the US and of those three Charleston is by far the easiest to get around for a nondriver. It also has spectacular food, history, and architecture. That being said, August in the deep South is extremely hot and humid.

I am in Seville at the moment and it’s mid-forties Celsius. Heat isn’t a problem, but getting flights and hotels might be as all the world and their partner seem to be going. I might fly to Washington, see DC for the first time in twenty years and then take a train down.
