  1. In terms of station staff i was extremely disappointed when i was caught up a few weeks back when a train had sat down at Whitechapel. The CIS displays above each door were counting down 6m then 5m then 4m to 1st train then resetting to 6m bit naff seeing train was stationary. Asked the guy on the platform what was going on when he advised train was stuck at Whitechapel. After 10mins waiting no change asked guy again what was happening – reply i don’t know anymore – me can you find out – him no i have to wait until im info i dont get to ask. Me should we use the circle line – him thats upto you mate not for me to tell you what to do.

Pretty unhelpful and given its supposedly state of the art system the fact CIS displays give you false hope trains are coming is pretty naff. The fact no one can provide you with decent communication is equally naff. Fortunately its a rare occurrence but does worry me that one its has through running disruption is going to be much more likely and i do hope they are reflecting on how they are performing currently and learning lessons.

    • According to Ian, it looks like heavy cases have been getting stuck in the doors and this is the major cause of delay.

I’ve never understood, why people drag so much around. Perhaps we need a limit, that people can drag abound, in or out of public transport.

It might have the benefit of reducing ambulance queues at A & E.
